Planning a Letter - Analysing the situation, identifying clear priorities, understanding your reader, and identifying clear goals.
The Structure of the Letter - Getting the flow right from beginning to close
Language Style-
-Effective Language – Modern Business English; Short sentences; Language to achieve the purpose of the letter
-Clear language – understandable to the customer; concise, no unnecessary waffle; no jargon
-Customer Focussed Language – focussed on KEEPING the customer; maintaining mutual respect; getting the message across in a way that is acceptable to the customer
